Rock Industries, Inc. is a full service limestone, sand and gravel company with plants and sales offices located in Peru and Plymouth, Indiana.

Rock Industries, Inc. was formed in 1977 when a family owned construction company was divided into two entities, construction and aggregates. Aggregates have continuously been mined at Peru for more than 60 years and at Plymouth for more than 35 years.

Our company produces all sizes of limestone aggregates which are used in asphalt and concrete. We also make agricultural lime for farm fields, landscaping stones, erosion control products and materials for commercial and private home use.

The uses of our sand and gravel include sand for asphalt and concrete, fill and backfill materials and landscaping products.

Rock Industries, Inc. offers several unique benefits to our customers. One is that both operations are located at the intersection of two major four-lane highways, Plymouth being two miles from the intersection of U.S. 31 and U.S. 30, and Peru situated at the intersection of U.S. 31 and U.S. 24. Transportation is always a major portion of the cost to purchase aggregates and our convenient locations result in lower transportation costs to the customer.

Another advantage we offer in transportation is that we ship materials back and forth from our Plymouth plant and Peru plant taking advantage of lower overall transportation costs. These savings are also passed on to our customers.

The color of our limestone is another unique characteristic that is available to our customers. Most of our limestone products are much whiter in color than other limestone found in the northern third of Indiana. This feature is often important for landscaping, driveway stone, etc.
